Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what information LinkVO collects, how we use it, and your rights under applicable privacy laws including the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

LinkVO is a bio link platform that lets creators, influencers, and professionals share their links, products, services, and social profiles from a single page at linkvo.me/yourhandle.

We collect the minimum data needed to operate the service. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Information we collect

When you create an account:

Name and email address
Password stored as a bcrypt hash — we cannot see your password
Google account information if you sign in with Google

When you create or edit your bio page:

Your handle, display name, tagline, bio text, and category
Profile avatar and cover photo you upload
Links, products, services, reviews, and events you add
Social profile URLs you connect
Style preferences including brand color and theme
Location and website if you choose to provide them
Contact details such as email, phone, or WhatsApp if you add them

When visitors view your bio page:

Page view data including country, device type, and browser
Link click data on items within your bio page
IP addresses are hashed before storage and cannot be reversed

When you use the service generally:

Session data for keeping you logged in
API usage logs including endpoint, timestamp, and response code

How we use your information

To create and serve your public bio page at linkvo.me/yourhandle
To provide you with page view and click analytics
To send transactional emails such as email verification and password resets
To send a weekly analytics digest if you have an active bio page
To detect and prevent abuse of the service
To improve and develop the LinkVO platform
To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 2 years then automatically deleted
Account data is retained until you delete your account
Bio page content is retained until you delete it or your account
Uploaded images are deleted from storage when you remove them or delete your account
Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity
IP hashes cannot be reversed and are used only for unique visitor counting

Cookies

LinkVO does not use tracking cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not require a cookie consent banner because we do not place cookies on public bio pages.

We use a session cookie only on authenticated dashboard pages to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary and does not track you across other websites.

Third party services

We use third party services to operate LinkVO. These services may process your data as part of delivering the service:

Cloudflare — edge network, DDoS protection, and Worker-based page rendering
Vultr — server hosting based in Singapore
Cloudflare R2 — image storage for avatars, cover photos, and bio page images
Resend — transactional email delivery
Google OAuth — optional sign-in with Google

We do not share your personal data with these providers beyond what is necessary to operate the service. Each provider operates under applicable data protection standards.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Download a copy of your data from your account settings
Delete your bio page and all its content at any time
Withdraw consent for optional data processing

Data security

All data transmitted over HTTPS with TLS 1.2 minimum
Passwords hashed with bcrypt at 12 rounds
Session tokens hashed and never stored in plain text
IP addresses hashed with HMAC-SHA256 before storage
Database access restricted to application servers only
Images stored in Cloudflare R2 with no public listing
Environment secrets managed via Doppler — never stored in code

Changes to this policy

We will notify you by email if we make material changes to this policy. Minor updates will be reflected with a new last updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of LinkVO after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
